MegaStir Technologies in USA aims at the FSW technology development on high temperature materials, ranging from Mild Steel to SS 304 and other alloys, like Titanium, etc. In 2003, MegaStir Technologies has completed a prototype oil field pipeline FSW demonstration program that successfully joined X-65 steel pipe segments using an automated internal mandrel and external FSW tooling system.
